Krishna’s elder brother Balarama is no ordinary sibling — he is revered as a divine incarnation in his own right, often considered an expansion of the Lord. While Krishna is dark-complexioned and known for sweetness and play, Balarama is fair, immensely strong, and carries a plough as his weapon.

Together they grew up in Gokul and Vrindavan, sharing countless adventures. Balarama represents divine strength and support, while Krishna represents divine love — and the tradition teaches that one cannot reach Krishna without first receiving the grace of Balarama.
